[field title=”The Inspiration”]For this shoot we wanted to fuse a classic wedding day look with bright spring tones. Keeping in mind couples who love a classic wedding Elle Loren Co. created a romantic, timeless design that mixed nude and ivory tones with reds, peach and burnt oranges for color. The tone was set first with an elegant wedding invitation suite with a romantic design, soft, pastel palette and painted details. The ceremony itself was more classic with softer floral tones, but opted for an elevated dais rather than a traditional arch to modernize the setup. The shoot ended with a timeless reception on the Clifton’s front lawn, but threw in the popular, modern trend of swapping a cake cutting for a champagne tower! [/field]

[field title=”The Venue”]The photoshoot took place at The Clifton Inn, a boutique hotel and restaurant in Charlottesville, Virginia. The inn’s historic charm and beautiful gardens make it a popular wedding venue in Virginia’s wine country. The ceremony took place in the lush secret garden with weeping willows adding to the atmosphere as the couple tied the knot on an elevated round dais. After portraits around the inn’s grounds the reception was held on the front lawn with the manor house serving as the backdrop.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]For the photoshoot the bride wore a Watters dress from Brocade Bridal. To balance out the romantic, dreamy aspects of the rest of the design we selected a more modern, minimalist off-the-shoulder gown with long sleeves and a sleek silhouette.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]While we wanted to keep the design for this shoot very timeless, it was important to us to not shy away from color, especially when it came to the florals. Keeping it classic the majority of the arrangements were roses, and ranunculus, but bolder burnt orange daisies and other small pops of color kept the design fresh and more modern feeling.
A mix of glass and brass elements combined for the tablescape adding plenty of texture. The same painted detail that had set the tone on the invitation was repeated again on the menus placed at each seat.[/field]
