What a blast Siobhan and Teddy had at their disco boho wedding. Their epic day was held at Dewsall Court in Herefordshire on a beautiful autumn day. Firstly they had a stretch tent ceremony with far-reaching countryside views, before celebrating in the stunning barns styled by AMW Events.
I love the stylish dried flowers, the disco balls and the pretty lighting. Not to mention the totally beautiful outfits and the seriously stunning portraits at golden hour. Swoon.
Thanks ever so much to The Chamberlins for very kindly sharing with us these tremendous captures.
Disco Boho Wedding
The Proposal
Funny and a bit awkward just like us. Teddy proposed in our hotel room in NYC (a surprise trip for my 30th). Fireworks went off outside as I said yes and as I turned to him in shock he said ‘yeah, I didn’t organise that!’
The Vision
We wanted a day that felt very ‘us’ and everyone would feel comfortable enough to have a great time. I’m a big fan of disco balls/anything camp and glittery but I loved and wanted to incorporate the country setting of our venue.
Disco balls and dusky pink, burnt orange colour palette with dried flowers felt like the perfect mix of glam, fun and familiarity. Amelia was instrumental in making sure our budget went on the elements that would have impact and focus on areas that mattered.
Budget
Overall budget including venue, outfits, flowers etc etc – £70k.

The Ceremony & Music
I used to play the violin and still adore string music so walking down the aisle to a live electric violin was a no-brainer. Likewise, we wanted a ‘vibe’ with our music so a ‘live lounge’ esque set during canapes and then a dance/garage band for the evening.
There were a few grumbles from some of the older members of our family at first that we wouldn’t have an evening of ‘classic wedding’ tunes but when the garage vibes hit, they were ALL on the dancefloor ☺
Your Outfits
I knew I wanted something romantic and the drama of the puffball sleeves was something I couldn’t resist.
Teddy loves Peaky Blinders and he’s been to many weddings where the standard is a black dinner suit or tux and he wanted to feel unique on his big day as well, so the three-piece it was!
The Styling & Decor
The styling combined disco and boho vibes together. Siobhan had a vision of what she wanted, and it was up to me to bring that to life. The colour palette featured gorgeous terracotta, toffee, burnt orange and pink as the main colours, paired with lighter shades of pink and nude/champagne to compliment the design and feel of the boho disco retro vibe.
Siobhan wanted it to feel romantic, fun but to compliment the stunning venue of Dewsall Court. The ceremony had a relaxed minimal feel of boho rugs and pampas grass in vases, on the lawn. Which worked so well with the surroundings.
For the wedding meal I worked closely with the lovely florist Jasper and Quinn. And we used the chandeliers as the focal point for the room, hanging balls of gysophillia mixed with disco balls to really merge the disco boho vibe. I loved how it turned out.
We then opted for burnt orange knotted napkin to add to the relaxed vibe. As well as rustic wooden long tables, with nude runners. The stationery Siobhan designed herself, which had a retro feel and tied well with the other elements. The tables were filled with vintage cut glass candlestick holders, and a trio of warm amber, terracotta and pink candles. To add a pop of colour to the tables and work well with the mix textures of the bud vases.
And to finish the tables off, an epic statement meadow, with stunning spears and disco balls to take the design from floor to ceiling. What’s not to love!

Advice For Other Couples
Do what you want for your day. It’s hard sometimes to shut out the noise but I wouldn’t change a thing about our day and the memories we made.
If someone tells you ‘that’s not traditional’ or ‘that’s not how we did it’ GREAT because the day is about you and your people coming together, not about someone else’s wedding!
Stay together – make an effort to be at each other’s side. Not only does this slow down the day and grounds you, but you have the same memories of the day!
What a dream from beginning to end.
I cannot thank Siobhan and Teddy enough for sharing with us their incredible disco boho wedding story.
