Maynard Nexsen, a full-service law firm with 24 offices across the United States, is pleased to announce the addition of experienced government attorney Michael Pillsbury as a Shareholder in the Government Solutions practice group in the Firm’s Huntsville office.
A former Assistant U.S. Attorney and Chief Attorney with the U.S. Army, Michael has a deep background in government contracting and international law. At the U.S. Attorney’s office, he investigated and prosecuted all types of federal offenses, with a particular focus on federal procurement fraud. Michael has conducted discrete investigations and provided ethics, acquisition and policy advice on complex and diverse contracting, fiscal, procurement law and ethics issues. He has also been involved with a number of bid protests and contract disputes before GAO and the Boards of Contract Appeal.
Michael is adept at identifying strategies, developing teams, assessing risks and leading decisive courses of action. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Athens State University, where he teaches Government Contracting Law to undergraduate and graduate-level students. He is also a frequent presenter at regional legal seminars.

Michael holds a J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, now known as the Texas A&M University School of Law. Michael earned his B.A. in Political Science from Trinity University.
