No one really knows what the future holds, especially when it comes to love—but we have a few tools that can help us make sound predictions, says Mahlet Yared, an astrologer and the founder of Just One Gursha. “Astrology has long been used to predict engagement and marriage potential, making it one of the oldest and most profound applications of this ancient practice,” she says. “In South Asia, for example, astrology remains deeply woven into marriage culture. In India, it’s common for families to consult an astrologer to compare birth charts before approving a match and to select a wedding date that aligns with the cosmos for optimal blessings.”
As we enter a new year, it’s natural to wonder which of your favorite celebrity couples might be on the receiving end of those blessings—especially since so many of them already have the rumor mill churning. From Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce to Zendaya and Tom Holland, there are a long list of A-listers who have us on engagement ring watch. Enter Mahlet, who analyzed our favorite pairs’ birth charts to see if any of these highly-anticipated proposals might actually come to pass. “A birth chart isn’t just a tool for personal growth—it’s also a powerful resource for couples,” she says of her methodology. “Consulting your chart before getting engaged can offer a roadmap for your relationship, highlighting shared values and potential challenges. It’s a way to ensure that your partnership isn’t just built on chemistry, but also on compatibility.”
Ahead, discover which celebrity couples have an engagement in the stars—and which are fated for another year of growth (or even a breakup)—according to astrology.
Celebrities Who Will Get Engaged in 2025
If Mahlet’s astrological predictions don’t have you excited about the new year, we’re not sure what will. According to her birth chart analyses, a long list of our favorite couples are destined to take the next step in 2025.

Zendaya and Tom Holland
According to Mahlet, 2025 will be the year Tom Holland finally proposes to Zendaya—which is “something I imagine they’ve been thoughtfully planning together for some time,” she says (the duo has been together since 2021). As for when we’ll hear the happy news? Expect an engagement announcement towards the latter half of the year. “The Libra eclipse in October is especially significant, activating both of their Libra North Nodes. For Zendaya, this eclipse emphasizes how a deeply supportive partnership can ground her life’s purpose and help her heal from past relationship wounds,” notes Mahlet. “For Tom, it brings clarity and focus to his seventh house of relationships and marriage, suggesting he’s ready to take the next step with intention and confidence.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
The rumors are true, notes Mahlet: The stars say that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who became an item in 2023—after Swift shocked the world by showing up at a Kansas City Chiefs home game—are entering their engagement era in 2025. That doesn’t mean, however, that we’ll know that they’ve changed their relationship status right away; considering their penchant for privacy, it’s more than likely that they’ll keep the happy news close to the chest. “Whether they choose to announce an engagement publicly, elope, or surprise everyone with a low-key reveal months later, the astrology suggests a major shift in their relationship is coming,” affirms Mahlet.
According to Mahlet, Taylor’s chart points to a transformative start to the year, with Pluto—the planet of rebirth—conjuncting her Venus at the top of the year, in January 2025. This transit often signals deep, life-changing developments in love and partnership, she explains. The same is true for Travis: The conjunction of Mercury and Saturn in the tight end’s chart suggests meaningful conversations about the future. This alignment indicates that he’s ready to get serious about a long-term commitment to Taylor.
Arguably one of the most beloved couples of our time, all eyes will be on this duo as they approach the two-year mark of their relationship. Mahlet isn’t ruling out a top-of-the-year proposal (“A New Year’s engagement isn’t out of the question!” she says), but with Taylor’s Venus in Aquarius and Travis’s Venus in Aries—two fiercely independent and nontraditional signs—it’s more than likely that they’ll surprise us (and get engaged on their own timeline). “A whirlwind engagement followed by an intimate elopement or a carefully guarded wedding reveal seems right in line with their unique, high-energy connection,” she says.

Jeremy Allen White and Molly Gordon
A quick engagement feels “highly likely” for The Bear co-stars Jeremy Allen White and Molly Gordon (who have an on- and off-screen romance), says Mahlet; she anticipates that we’ll see Molly rocking a diamond on that finger by late 2025, since Saturn will play a “significant role in their relationship journey between March and November.” The stars seem to affirm what those earthside have said from the beginning: A source told People in September 2024, shortly after the duo was photographed kissing in Los Angeles, that Jeremy and Molly had “intense chemistry” on set, which spilled into their real-life dynamic. “Their synastry reflects a beautiful harmony—a partnership that celebrates their creative, free-spirited natures while anchoring them in a deep, steady love,” notes Mahlet. “It’s the kind of connection that feels both inspiring and enduring, making an engagement a natural next step.”
If the couple doesn’t take this step, the reason might be due to either Jeremy or Molly feeling weighed down by the idea of long-term commitment during Saturn’s transit (we have a feeling the person putting on the breaks might be Jeremy, who finalized his divorce from Addison Timlin, his wife of four years, in September 2023). Mahlet, however, is still confident that the time is right: “With Saturn shifting into Aries and Molly completing her Saturn Return by late 2025, they’ll both be stepping into a new chapter of maturity and self-assurance,” she says. “A post-Saturn Return engagement—and eventual marriage—would be profoundly transformative, offering them a strong, empowering foundation for their future together.”

Leah Kateb and Miguel Harichi
Love Island fans, rejoice! Everyone’s favorite couple from the USA iteration of season six is headed towards something big in 2025. Leah Kateb and Miguel Harichi, who got together in Fiji over the summer, have a “cosmic connection” that has been undeniable from the start—and even without their exact birth times, Mahlet knows that their relationship synastry is electric. This tracks, given the moves they’ve already made in 2024. “We live together right now, basically, at my apartment,” Leah told People, adding that Miguel is in the process of moving to Los Angeles.
“In 2025, significant Saturn-Jupiter transits are happening that could strongly influence commitment decisions. For Leah, the transiting Saturn in Pisces (opposite her Virgo Venus) and Pluto in Aquarius (opposite her Leo Sun and Moon) suggest a time of transformation in her approach to relationships, moving from idealized fantasies to grounded commitment,” explains Mahlet. “For Miguel, his Saturn return (in Aries) will be occurring, which often signifies a time of emotional maturity and clarity about long-term commitment. The stars are practically shouting ‘end game’ for these two.”

Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns
All signs—including a very massive diamond Jordyn Woods posted on Instagram in October 2024—point to 2025 being a transformative year for the model and New York Knicks player Karl-Anthony Towns, “with the astrological energy aligning beautifully toward a deeper commitment,” says Mahlet, who says to expect an official announcement at the start of the summer. “An engagement feels especially likely after Saturn shifts into Aries in late May, a transit that will bring both clarity and stability to their shared path. Their bond is built on trust, passion, and mutual growth, making this milestone not just probable but deeply meaningful.”
It’s just as likely, though, that the couple—who began dating in May 2020 after years of friendship, per People—will keep their relationship status as is, which shouldn’t be confused as a sign of trouble or an indication of a future breakup. “With the strong Scorpio influence in both of their charts, it wouldn’t be surprising if they chose to keep an engagement private or take their time with a longer timeline, savoring the evolution of their partnership,” says Mahlet. “If the stars don’t align for an engagement by the end of 2025, early 2026 offers equally promising cosmic momentum for them to take this exciting next step.”

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky
Yes, the stars suggest that we might see Rihanna get engaged before we get new music, notes Mahlet, who says to keep your eyes on the “We Found Love” singer and her long-time boyfriend—who share two sons, RZA and Riot Rose—during the second half of 2025 (“The cosmos is lining up for something big,” Mahlet says). “Eclipses in Aries and Libra (April and October) are set to bring major shifts for the couple, activating Rihanna’s Aries Rising and Venus, as well as A$AP Rocky’s Libra Sun and Mercury,” she says. “These celestial events often herald life-changing developments in relationships, making them the perfect backdrop for deeper commitments—or even a proposal.”
October is Mahlet’s projected month for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s engagement. “The October Libra Eclipse stands out as particularly transformative. For A$AP Rocky, this eclipse will illuminate his path toward long-term partnership, offering clarity and a nudge toward significant decisions,” she says. “For Rihanna, the eclipse will light up her seventh house of marriage and partnerships, a powerful placement that often coincides with major milestones like engagements or weddings.”
Celebrities Who Won’t Get Engaged in 2025
Of course, the above couples aren’t the only duos who have us on engagement watch at the moment. Unfortunately, there are several high-profile pairs who, accordingly to astrology, just aren’t ready for that next step (and have the birth chart to prove it). These are the couples who you might think are ready for marriage, but just aren’t. According to Mahlet, they might not even make it, let alone reach the engagement phase at a later date.

Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater
“Looking at Ariana and Ethan’s synastry and the significant transits of 2025, it seems unlikely that this relationship will result in long-term commitment, let alone an engagement,” says Mahlet. “Saturn’s transit through Pisces will emphasize Ariana’s second house, where she’ll reflect deeply on her values, self-worth, and material security. This energy could make her more serious about long-term relationships, but it may also push her to question whether Ethan aligns with her deeper desires for stability.” Consider the splashy dissent that Slater’s ex-wife’s recent essay on The Cut has caused, and it’s likely that a break-up could happen sooner rather than later. “While there may be chemistry between Ariana and Ethan, the astrological indicators suggest that 2025 will bring growth, but the relationship may not endure beyond the transformational lessons it offers each of them,” Mahlet adds.

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet
These two aren’t headed for a breakup, but don’t expect the Little Women actor to propose to the multi-hyphenate in 2025. “An engagement doesn’t appear to be in the stars for Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet in 2025. While we don’t have an exact birth time for Timothée, the year ahead looks more focused on personal growth for both of them,” says Mahlet. “Timothée is completing his Saturn Return, a transformative period that often reshapes priorities and life direction. At the same time, Kylie is navigating significant nodal transits, pushing her to align with her greater purpose and societal impact.”
The takeaway? Rather than planning a wedding, this pair will concentrate on laying the groundwork for their individual careers and futures. “However, 2026 could bring a stronger potential for an engagement—if they navigate the growth and challenges of 2025 together,” notes Mahlet.

Gracie Abrams and Paul Mescal
For it-girl Gracie Abrams—whose viral hit “That’s So True” is everywhere right now—and Gladiator II and Normal People star Paul Mescal, 2025 will be a rocky year of relationship trials and tribulations. The duo, who was first linked in June 2024, “share a deeply transformative connection,” notes Mahlet—but the celestial transits of 2025 suggest that their relationship “will be tested and refined, rather than culminating in an engagement.”
In a lot of ways, the stars point to what is obviously true: These two are still getting to know each other. “The Saturn transits in both charts signal a year of introspection and growth, where they focus on building emotional resilience and understanding their relationship dynamics,” Mahlet explains. “Saturn will transit Paul’s Saturn-Venus conjunction and bring him face-to-face with his own fears in love. While Saturn often symbolizes commitment, it also demands maturity and can delay significant events (like a proposal) until lessons are learned. Saturn will oppose Gracie’s Sun-Mercury conjunction in her chart, which will challenge her to set a more realistic understanding of her needs in a relationship.”
Yes, both Gracie and Paul will experience significant shifts in 2025—but it’s doubtful that those changes will translate in a shift in relationship status. “For Gracie, it’s about emotional boundaries and self-worth, while Paul is exploring his limited beliefs around love,” shares Mahlet. “While these influences deepen their bond, they may also lead to challenges that require them to recalibrate their relationship before committing formally.”
