The Luckiest Wedding Dates for 2025

After you get engaged, choosing your wedding date is one of the most important tasks on your to-do list. After all, almost every other aspect of the planning process—from booking your venue to determining your guest list—hinges on the day of your nuptials. However, according to some cultural and spiritual traditions, it may also play a role in the future of your marriage. “In some cultures, dates containing certain numbers are thought to have major significance and are a good omen for the marriage,” says Kelsey Connely, the owner and creative director of Downey Street Events, a wedding-planning firm in San Francisco. “For some couples, there may also be special numbers that have held significance to them in their lives for whatever reason, so they gravitate toward these dates when thinking about planning a wedding.”

For example, Connely once worked with a couple that found the number three particularly meaningful and auspicious. As a result, the two tied the knot on March 13, 2023. “The principles of numerology state that repeating numbers are lucky, so this tends to be a more common preference,” she adds. “Some couples also may try to plan their wedding on a specific date that has meaning to [their relationship], such as the date they started dating or the date they got engaged.”

Curious as to what the luckiest days to say “I do” in the coming year are? Below, the experts offer some dates to consider tying the knot in 2025 to secure your good fortune.

The Luckiest Wedding Dates for 2025, According to Astrology

Is your wedding date written in the stars? Perhaps. According to Nicole Goicuria, an astrologer and the founder of the Astral Botanica, you’ll want to take a few things into consideration when using astrology to choose your wedding date, including the placement of Venus (ruler of relationships), Mercury (rule of contracts, travel, and scheduling), and, of course, the Moon. However, regardless of the specific date you choose to wed, she says that 2025 will be a good marriage year for Taurus, Pisces, Libra, and Cancer signs.

February 1

On this day, Venus is exalted (which means super-powered) in Pisces and conjunct to its ruler, Neptune, Goicuria says. Tying the knot on this date will bring particular good luck for Pisces, Taurus, and Libra signs.

June 24

“Jupiter is the ‘greater benefic’ planet in astrology and gives blessings and good luck,” Goicuria says. And when it’s exalted in Cancer, as it is on this date, it gains extra power. If you’re a Sagittarius, Cancer, Leo, or Pisces, this day will be especially auspicious.

August 12

On this date, Venus and Jupiter join forces, gracing your nuptials with a positive aura. “[Expect] nothing but good energy and blessings, [including] a very blessed energy for the starting of a new family that a wedding signifies,” Goicuria says. And if you’re a Cancer, Libra, Taurus, Sagittarius, or Pisces, make sure to prioritize this lucky date for your nuptials.

October 14

In astrology, trines refer to two planets positioned 120 degrees apart, as such spacing is considered lucky. And on October 14, Venus in Libra will create a “grand trine” with Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini, adding “a layer of divine protection to your wedding day,” Goicuria says. The formation of these air signs will “help communication and social aspects come together seamlessly and make for a fun and hopefully stress-free day.” Aquarius, Gemini, Libra, Taurus, and Scorpio signs should take note of this specific date.

The Luckiest Wedding Dates for 2025, According to the Chinese Calendar

2025 is the Year of the Snake in the Chinese zodiac calendar. This creature symbolizes wisdom, transformation, and prosperity—all good omens for a 2025 wedding.

Auspicious weekend-wedding dates for 2025 include January 25, February 15, March 21, March 28, April 4, April 19, May 17, May 31, June 7, June 21, June 28, July 4, July 25, August 2, August 23, September 12, September 20, September 26, October 3, October 17, October 18, October 25, October 31, November 15, November, 21, and December 26.

If you’re tying the knot in August (the eighth month of the year), you may find some additional luck on the date of your nuptials, as the number eight is a particularly important number in Chinese culture. “The number eight is considered lucky because it represents infinity,” Connely says. In 2025, consider February 8, March 8, or November 8—all Saturday dates—or double up your lucky numbers on August 8, a Friday. Unfortunately, the same good fortune doesn’t apply to all digits: The number four is considered unlucky in Chinese culture and can be associated with death.

The Luckiest Wedding Dates for 2025, According to the Hindu Calendar

When following the Hindu calendar, you’ll want to seek out a shubh muhurat, or a favorable date when nature and the cosmos align. According to the Indian wedding-planning platform WedMeGood, there are a plethora of lucky days throughout 2025, including many in the first few months of the year. The stretch from January 16 to 27, February 14 (Valentine’s Day), and March 7 are all expected to bring good luck.

If you prefer a spring wedding, consider April 18, April 20, May 10, May 15, May 25, June 7, or June 20. However, unfortunately, if you’re dreaming of a summer celebration, there aren’t many auspicious dates from July to October. Yet once the weather cools and fall comes around, November is a great month for tying the knot, as is December. Look at November 8, November 22, or December 6 for a lucky wedding date.

The Luckiest Wedding Dates for 2025, According to Numerology

Do you always find yourself catching the clock at 11:11 or have a special love for a certain digit (or two)—like Taylor Swift and the number 13? Consider utilizing the practice of numerology when selecting your wedding date. “Numerology believes that each number holds a specific meaning, which a couple may take into account when selecting a wedding date,” Connely says. “In general, repeating numbers are meant to be good luck, such as 5/5/2025.”

For a lucky day, look for patterns in your wedding date, especially those including two and five. In numerology, the number five symbolizes change, communication, and adaptability—all key traits for a successful celebration. Consider April 5, May 2, July 25, or October 25 for a 2025 weekend wedding.

You can also incorporate numerology into your wedding date by examining you and your partner’s life path number. To do that, add up all the numbers in your birth month, date, and year until you’re left with a single digit. For example, if you were born on December 19, 1994, you would add 1+2+1+9+1+9+9+4, which equals 36. You would then add 3+6, leaving you with a life path number of 9. To integrate this number into your wedding-date selection (and leave you with a lucky date!), consider having your number be the month and your partner’s be the day—or vice versa. You can also add your digits together to find your conjoined life path number.
